the Presbyterian Church USA (the denomination that I am a member of) may ordain an openly gay woman tonight! she is standing before the san francisco presbytery tonight. my prayers go out to all involved, especially Lisa Larges – the brave woman who has been waiting for this for 20 years. of course i’ll post an update as soon as i know something.. hopefully it’ll be a celebratory update.
UPDATE: the presbytery of san francisco DID ordain lisa larges on tuesday night! she is the second openly gay person to be ordained in the PCUSA. i watched it all on twitter. so exciting. yeah! yeah! yeah!
