m. her r
she is a lesbian, radical feminist, cat lover, bibliophile, non-smoker, unitarian universalist (though she doesn't go to fellowship on a regular basis) and in the process of becoming athletic again. she dreams of being jeanne d' arc and swooping in and saving those that need saved (though she'd rather not be burned at the stake). she is a loyal friend who will do anything she can for those she loves, but she can flakey sometimes when her depression flares up. she is a loner. a southerner self-transplanted to the pacific northwest in 1998 and now believes that it doesn't rain enough here. she's known for her honesty, she can't help it, its the only way to be. she is 4'8" tall, and round. she has natural blonde hair and she also has blue eyes. she is very intense. she hates small and large crowds, she prefers the one on one or the one on a few. she has no idea what she wants to do with her life, though she would like to see more of the world than what she has seen so far (a good part of the continental united states) and she very much wants to be a mother. finally, she has huge crushes on alix olson and carolyn gage (these are from a far).

mac anonymous

hi, my name is brooke and i am now a macintosh owner.

its r's fault, he said "you are lusting after *my* ibook, go get your own! just do it!" so, i did it. and no, no dvd player or cd-rw, i couldn't afford anymore. but i've got an external cd-rw that will work with this. its the cheapest ibook they had at the store.

but the point is, its an ibook, and i no longer have to be jealous of patti, r, or my ma.

now, how do i open the cd drive? hahahahahahahaha

5 hours later
it doesn't like my external rw. apple has a driver to support it, iomega doesn't, but for an older version of os x and this version won't have any part of it. *but* it absolutely adores my digital camera, which is great. if i network the xp machine and this machine together can i transfer data over to the xp so that i can burn cd's? it seems as if both machines should be evolved enough to do this. i'm a network dummy, so i don't know. i know i saw something about letting windows log on to this thing.

this was definetly a spur of the moment thing. they had a machine that has everything i want on it for 100.00 more, but they didn't have it there in the shop. i knew if i didn't walk out with this today it simply wasn't going to happen.

WELL FUCK. i had found my roxio software earlier, i thought i put it back in its place, but its not there, i wanted to check if it had any mac friendly software on it, or in my computer box. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. thats a 100.00 piece of software, and who knows where it is now. i should go to sleep. it'll turn up, i just hope its not somewhere where i can step on it. DAMMIT.

okay, i should go to sleep.

and later than that.
found the roxio disc, and the disc for the iomega cd-rw. i've got toaster installed on the os 9.2, but it can't find the rw, but os x has found the rw as its sitting on my desktop w/ its label and "CDRW" on the icon.

this is fun. okay, thats a lie. i've totally lost it. and i've got a drs. appt early, in about 8 hours.

i'm really going to bed now.

I'm a Mac person, too (we have three) so if you need anything, give a holler.

I'm a Mac-ophile, too. And, I have a version of Toast that will work with OSX if you need it. And, I'm not sure how, but you should be able to connect your PC to your ibook.

You can connect it quite easily with a hub and two ethernet cables, or a single crossed pair cable.

If you want, I have a really easy tutorial on how to do this. Just send me an email, and I'll post it on my site for you.
